Rosa Doake- Te Tai o Poutini Regional Coordinator

Rosa has a passion for young people. While working for Greymouth High School between 2014-2020, she worked hard to meet the needs of students at the school. Her varying roles during her time at Greymouth High School enabled her to develop an array of skills which she continued to develop in her most recent role as Head of Department of Health, Physical Education and Outdoor Education. Rosa thrived on opportunities to show leadership and support staff and students alike. She understood the importance of engaging not only with students and other staff but also with whanau and the wider learning community.

Rosa is originally from North Canterbury but moved to the West Coast almost 10 years ago. She loves the slower pace and the beautiful West Coast bush. She has recently built a house on a small lifestyle block so in her spare time she is busy doing jobs outside around the house, looking after the sheep they have. She is excited about planning a big vegetable garden to grow plenty of delicious food which will keep her busy in the future.

Rosa has excellent attention to detail, organisational and budgeting skills. She brings these to the role of developing Papa Taiao Programmes in Te Tai o Poutini, The West Coast.

The flexible nature of the role allows her to get back into work after three years raising her son. If you're lucky you might get to meet him!
